The Ghosts of Brownsover Hall Hotel
In 1755 12 clergymen were brought in to try and remove the entity, which was deemed successful at the time. It is said they used a bottle to persuade the entity to climb into. This was then thrown into the lake on the grounds. However, the spirit predictably returned when the fisherman recovered the container in the 1880s and the hauntings have continued ever since.
Many staff and guests have reported groans, footsteps, and dismembered voices coming from the empty tower attached to the building.
