History

The 500-year-old three-legged cross pub was previously known as the New Inn up until the mid 19th Century and was used as a meeting point for the pony club back in the mid-1900’s. It was taken over by a former Yugoslav spy who restored it to a proper community pub. Its new owners have now transformed it into a bar/restaurant that serves up proper English pub grub.

Ghosts at The Three Legged Cross

A gipsy woman is said to have placed a curse on the pub after being barred over 100 years ago. The landlord at the time fell ill shortly after and died. The spirit of the gipsy woman is said to still walk around the outside of the pub cursing the landlord.
