Ghosts of The Spirit House
The ghosts and spirits that roam The Spirit House are many. There is a poltergeist that resides in the cellar and has the power to lift furniture. This Poltergiest has been seen by many guests and visitors to The Spirit House who have fled in terror at some of the antics that they have witnessed. During the day this unassuming spiritual centre has many local visitors including students alongside their many customers. However, by night things take a very different turn and this old house, where parts of it are thought to date back to around the 12th Century, takes on a whole new atmosphere. Things really do go bump in the night here and many people have witnessed sightings of Monks, children, Goblin-type creatures and so much more.
History of The Spirit House
The Spirit House in Evesham was built in Tudor times from the stones of what was once the Old Evesham Abbey. It was built around 1544 but is thought to date back to the 12th Century and the cellar itself is thought to contain the stones from the old Abbey. This stone comes from when it was destroyed during the period of the dissolution of the monasteries.
