Join other members of the public and have the experience of your lives with a ghost hunt! Locations available near you!
This abandoned building, which sits on the site of the haunted Towers Asylum, is definitely a great location for those of you who can cope with the more raw and sinister side of ghost hunting. This vast building opened in 1931 to house those that worked in the old Asylum.
This old Nurses Home has so much to offer even the most hardened ghost hunter which is so evident when you walk down its long dark corridors and enter the creepy rooms that lie empty and abandoned. The bleakness of this building is tangible and extremely daunting for anybody who has what it takes to join us on an overnight ghost hunt here. With workmen literally running from the building when they have felt the presence of ghostly figures and doors slamming shut behind them, it is not surprising that it has been left abandoned. Not many people will walk these corridors alone and we are challenging you not only to do this but to do so in the dead of night.

Ghosts of The Towers Asylum Nurses Home
The ghosts and spirits that reside within the walls of The Towers Asylum Nurses Home seem to be complex and with many varying reasons for being there. With the sounds of whispered male voices, growling, singing and the high pitched screaming being encountered by many visitors it is not difficult to understand why people are so terrified when they have walked around The Towers Asylum Nurses Home alone. The sight of a ghostly figure has frequently been seen looking out of the window from the top floor window and scratching sounds emanate from the walls from the same area.
You have the chance to spend the night in a huge, abandoned building that has rarely been investigated.
History of The Towers Asylum Nurses Home
The sprawling complex of the Towers Asylum in Leicester will never be forgotten. This was a site spreading over 30 acres and housed those suffering from mental health issues from the date of its opening in 1869. This building became infamous for its controversial treatments which were often considered to be barbaric. The Towers Asylum Nurses Home is part of this audacious site and has a real story to tell. At any one time it would have been home to over 65 nurses, all whom worked at the Asylum itself, and the evidence of the time they spent here is still very much intact. Each bedroom is like a snapshot from the past even down to the old curtains in some of the rooms. You get a very real sense of what life was like when they lived here.
You now have the opportunity to walk in the foosteps of those that would have lived and worked at The Towers Asylum and how their lifestyle would have been. Nobody knows the real terrors that they would have witnessed or how they would have dealt with them but you get a real sense of them having lived here.
