Hartford Hall Hotel is reportedly haunted by the ghost of a nun, who was killed by being bricked into a wall at a nearby abbey. She has been seen by guests and staff alike at the hotel and is thought to be responsible for all sorts of unexplained spooky goings-on.
Whilst the exact history of the hotel is unclear, it is known that the hotel used to be a nunnery and a manor house, meaning that it was home to guests of all types. It dates back to the 17th century and is chock a block with historical features, such as open fires, big wooden beams and stunning gardens. The market town of Hartford is also historical, with plenty of buildings that date back many centuries.
Hartford Hall Hotel is a stunning hotel and pub, filled with historical features such as big open fires, large wooden beams, landscaped gardens with a duck pond and facilities for both business and pleasure. The hotel boasts 20 en-suite bedrooms, in a mixture of doubles and family rooms as well as a number of suites for business and leisure guests alike.
